Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

With these poems, this brother and sister invite us into their rich family legacy, their dual voices deepening & heightening the experience. Resonant poems of family memories, faith, the natural world, and current injustices are all enriched coming from two complimentary sides. They tell us to "listen for the wind's whistle," to "surrender so that repair can grow into . . . prayer." The poems weave together a vivid, textured atmosphere of beloved family & community that feels like an embrace. Brother and Sister Act is a heartening read in disheartening times.-Carol Graser, author, Prayer for the Sorrowful BrainI've been fortunate to have seen and heard Mimi and Frank read many of these poems at poetry readings and open mics in the Albany, NY Capital District, poems like sharing memories over dinner; "do you remember. . ." when? Their father's hammer, holidays and the seasons, grandparents, kitchens, aging and death, how memory works, the writing of poems - paired as companion poems. Of course, it helps that they are both accomplished poets, following William Carlos Williams' dictum, "No ideas but in things." Open the book and join the family.-Dan Wilcox, poet, peace activist, and Albany Public Library Foundation Literary Legend
