Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Bringing America Greatness, by Donald E. Sheffield, Ed.D., is a spiritual and civic guide designed to prepare the United States for its 250th anniversary by redefining what it means to be a "great" nation. Sheffield argues that true greatness is not found in military or economic dominance, but in the virtue of leadership and a steadfast commitment to "Do No Harm" and the protection of unalienable rights for all citizens. The book emphasizes several core metaphors and frameworks: - The Salad Bowl vs. Melting Pot: Sheffield rejects the "melting pot" of assimilation, advocating for a "salad bowl" where unique cultural identities are preserved and celebrated while coexisting harmoniously.- The Iceberg Metaphor: True character lies "below the surface"; cultural competency requires looking past visible traits to recognize the inherent goodwill in others.- The 4 A's: To build bridges, individuals must ensure others feel Accepted, Appreciated, Acknowledged, and Paid Attention to.The author extends these principles across multiple sectors, including K-12 education, law enforcement, business, and faith communities. By shifting from competitive "best" (BOAT) to a character-driven "greatness" (GOAT), Sheffield envisions a unified America where diversity is viewed as a vital strength rather than a source of division.Dr. Sheffield highly recommends that each reader watch the Carl Sagan video about the Pale Blue Dot at this link: https: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=GO5FwsblpT8
