Can we trust the historical accuracy of the Bible? Discover the unassailable documentary case for the absolute authority, inerrancy, and divine preservation of Scripture. In an age dominated by secular naturalism and compromised theological models, modern believers are frequently told that the opening chapters of Genesis are merely mythological allegories. In The Unbroken Word: A Documentary Case for Biblical Authority, distinguished professor and cybersecurity expert Dr. Alfred Basta delivers a masterful, mathematically precise, and textually rigorous defense of the Bible as the flawless, untarnished Word of God-proving that the text we possess today is the supreme framework for understanding natural history.Dr. Basta bridges his decades of academic expertise in cryptography and mathematics with a deep, contemplative study of Scripture to address the ultimate question: Is the Bible true? Operating from a firm commitment to the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy, this volume establishes that an authentic understanding of the cosmos is inexorably tethered to the integrity of divine revelation.Inside this landmark study, you will explore:The Foundations of Divine Revelation: A thorough exposition of verbal plenary inspiration, infallibility, sufficiency, and the pristine clarity (perspicuity) of the original autographs. The Transmission of the Old Testament: A meticulous investigation into the obsessive, mathematically precise safeguards of the Masoretic tradition, the dramatic corroboration of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Septuagint, and the isolated Samaritan Pentateuch. The Formation of the New Testament Canon: The rigorous apostolic criteria used by the early church to recognize inspired scripture while rightly excluding the Apocrypha and pseudepigrapha. The Science of Manuscript Transmission: An analysis of the unrivaled abundance of biblical manuscripts-from early papyri and uncials to secondary ancient versions and patristic citations.Comparative Historiography & Textual Criticism: Defeating textual skepticism by proving the Bible possesses a transmission record that far surpasses secular classical works like Homer and Tacitus. The Epistemological Case for Creation: How the tight chronological timelines, the global Noahic deluge, and a literal six-day creation are textually locked into the grammar and syntax of an unbroken, divinely preserved text. The Unbroken Word represents a rare synthesis of scholarly grit and spiritual depth. It is an indispensable resource for pastors, church leaders, apologists, and any believer seeking an unshakeable intellectual foundation to defend Young-Earth Creationism and the absolute authority of God's Word.
