Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

An Archaeological Defense of Biblical Chronology is a sweeping, research-driven exploration of biblical history that traces the scriptural narrative from Genesis through the New Testament and examines its relationship with archaeology, ancient Near Eastern texts, and historical records. This comprehensive work presents a structured defense of biblical chronology by engaging with key archaeological discoveries such as the Nuzi, Mari, and Ebla tablets, the Sumerian King List, the Epic of Gilgamesh, the Merneptah Stele, the Tel Dan Stele, the Mesha Stone, the Black Obelisk, the Sennacherib Prism, the Cyrus Cylinder, and the Dead Sea-era historical artifacts. The book carefully analyzes major biblical events including creation, the flood, the patriarchal period, the Exodus, the conquest of Canaan, the monarchy of Israel, the Babylonian exile, and the early Christian era. It highlights parallels between ancient records and the biblical text while arguing for the historical reliability and internal coherence of Scripture. In addition, the work examines ancient treaty structures such as Hittite suzerainty covenants and their striking parallels to Mosaic law, offering a detailed comparative framework that situates the Bible within its ancient Near Eastern context.Written in a scholarly yet accessible style, this book is designed for readers interested in archaeology, theology, ancient history, biblical studies, and the historical foundations of Scripture.Whether you are a student, researcher, or curious reader, this volume provides a thought-provoking journey through some of the most debated and fascinating questions in ancient history and biblical interpretation.
