Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

On the wildest Christmas Eve in living memory, the fog has swallowed the west of Scotland whole. And on a small island the charts barely name, a seven-year-old girl will not live to morning without the medicine no boat and no sensible pilot can bring her.Steven Graham is seventeen. He has an old silver DC-3 called Silverbird, left to him by a great-uncle who told him she was more than she seems. He has a promise to be home for dinner, a family waiting by the phone, and less instrument time than courage. And when the distress call crackles out of the murk, he has a choice: the kind that decides not just one night, but who a person is going to be.What Steven does not know yet is that he will not be flying alone. Something in the old aircraft is listening. Something remembers the way. And on the Island of the Light, a fire is about to be kindled that has been answering the lost for a hundred and fifty Christmases.Written for readers eight to eighty, Christmas Eve with Captain Steve begins a seven-book series that spans two hemispheres and one faith, from the Irish Atlantic to the islands of the Philippines, where the weather is real, the geography is true, kindness is never little, and no one is ever lost. Aboard Silverbird you will find a chart table, a kettle, a place for everyone, and an old wireless with an amber dial that nobody ever would explain. Listen for it. Every story in this series does.A story of fog and faith, courage and homecoming: the first Captain Steve Adventure. The Captain Steve Adventures - Where Faith Takes Flight.
