Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

It's commonplace to panic when the world around you begins to change. It is also commonplace to revert to figuring out the crisis and developing a plan to get out of it. As creatures of habit, inadvertently, we are used to being in control. When plans are interrupted or compromised, we attempt to hold on to what we know or draw conclusions and live under false illusions. Fear, frustrations, loss, confusion, discouragement, and depression settle in when all else fails. Discipline in the Wilderness is a Christian book offering a different perspective on the world or personal crises and the dangers they can bring when not learning the valuable lesson of putting God first. An outward crisis is often God unveiling what is inward. The Spirit of God works within the problem to get our attention to build a lifelong covenant with us. When the crisis passes, our attention must remain on what God says and is doing. Sherie M. Davis shares her compelling wilderness experience, finding balance through discipline rather than reacting out of impulse, finding revelation through the Word of God, the warnings, and its victories. We must understand, in every crisis, that God is trying to do a new thing, and it behooves us to let Him.
