Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Jeanne Robertson has made it a habit to look for the typed of humor found in the fictitious town of Mayberry, North Carolina. For years, she has shared her findings in speeches. Now she offers a collection of stories as evidence that this type of humor is alive, well, and far beyond the television screen. The accounts presented in this book are not fabrications. They are true-life examples of situations similar to those found in America's favorite small town.Jeanne, a former Miss North Carolina and winner of the Miss Congeniality Award in the Miss America Pageant who speaks two languages fluently: English ... and Southern! A past president of the National Speakers Association, she stands tall (6'2" to be exact) among the most successful speakers Because her brand of humor is clean, down-to-earth, and homespun, it is little wonder she developed a "compelshion" complex for Mayberry.
