Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Don Langford's fourth collection of poems, Water Rock Time, presents a more personal side of the poet's exploration of impermanence, loss, and patience than expressed in his previous books. Some of the poems are insightful descriptions of natural scenes that convey the poet's perceptive observations of the ramifications of change over time. In other poems he displays his wit and linguistic skill in demonstrating the limitations and shortcomings of language itself, sometimes teasing reader expectations through his sardonic and surreal playfulness with language. Above all, this collection is a wide-ranging exploration by a traveler moving through physical and psychological landscapes with wonder and reverence, always inviting the reader to look more deeply into our social relationships and our interactions with the natural world around us.
