Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The mission continues. The bonds deepen. The line between human and monster grows thinner.

Still stinging from her demotion to Beta squad, Sergeant Omega is determined to prove her team deserves Alpha recognition-if only the stubborn Alpha soldier she's been ordered to escort would cooperate. Tau challenges her authority at every turn, nearly getting himself killed and endangering her entire squad. Then a massive sandstorm traps Omega and Rho with a mysterious survivor, leaving her injured and separated from her team. She must rely on the very Alpha she can't stand to reunite them all.Once Tau finally starts acting like part of the team, they navigate increasingly dangerous missions together and escort him back to base-but not before making unsettling discoveries that raise questions about the United Forces itself. Delivering Tau successfully means watching him get reassigned to a new Alpha squadron, leaving Omega's team exactly where they started: still Beta, still overlooked, still fighting to prove their worth. When Omega's solo mission becomes a fight for survival, her team faces an impossible choice: follow orders and lose her, or go AWOL and sacrifice everything they've worked for. And the Alpha soldier who was supposed to leave them behind must decide what matters more-the rank he was born to, or the family he's found.Readers love this sequel for:
