Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Stinky Bowfinky And His Dirty Dog Dew is a powerful poetic children's story that explores themes of judgment, compassion, and struggles through the eyes of an outsider. Stinky Bowfinky, a mysterious new boy shows up in Didleyville, and walks the streets with his loyal dog Dew. Wearing clunky red shoes, dark sunglasses, he has an unkempt appearance. He keeps to himself and communicates only with Dew. Despite never causing harm, Bowfinky is mocked, feared, and shunned by the townspeople. Children tease him for his appearance; adults accuse him of wrongdoing. He's physically attacked and driven out of town. But the truth, tragically, is that Bow is blind, homeless, and misunderstood... His red shoes and messy hair are results of poverty and disability, not neglect or choice. The story challenges readers to reflect on how they treat others, especially those who are different. It closes with a moral call: be kind, offer help, and open your heart, because you never know if you're entertaining angels unaware. Through rhythmic verses and emotional depth, Lyons delivers a moving lesson on empathy and human dignity for readers of all ages.
