In 2011, Angelo passed away at the age of 93. He was married to his wife, Anna, for 63 years and he is currently survived by 8 children (and their spouses), 9 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. This book was written to honor his memory.About the Author/IllustratorChris Conolly was born and raised in South Philadelphia, PA. He is a self-taught author and illustrator and Angelo's Garden is his first book. Growing up in a single mother home, the greatest and most influential role model growing up was his grandfather, Angelo, who raised Chris like a son. After working in marketing for several years, Chris changed careers and became an elementary school teacher and literacy specialist. He is also a 4th degree black belt and international instructor in Tang Soo Do martial arts. Chris' hope is that Angelo's Garden will bring inspiration and a smile to people of all ages while keeping his grandfather's memory alive
