Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Wading through the Shadows of Heaven is a faith-based novel about friendship, loss, family reconciliation, and emotional healing. The concepts of death and religion have been a struggle for 9-year-old protagonist Penny Marques for as long as she can remember. The little she knew about God or Christianity, she'd gained from her grandmother Margery's stories from the Bible. Her father moved out when she was only four years old, leaving her to be raised by her mother and her older sister, Amelia. When Penny's grandmother dies, it sets off a motion of events that will change her life forever. Coping with grief and loss, Penny is forced to confront her fears of death, her uncertainties about religion, and her mother's domineering brother. But, with the help of her best friend Edgar and her Uncle Theo, Penny embarks on a healing journey of self-discovery. Along the way, she develops an understanding of life, death, and the world around her that eases some of her worries. In this inspiring work of Christian fiction, Penny learns to transcend her childhood trauma, finding faith in nature and hope among the stars.
