Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

In a New York minute, tables can turn, bridges can burn, and you can find yourself doing the unthinkable. After a decade, Shawn Carter is released from prison just in time for the holidays. It's his first Christmas with his own family, and he wants to give them the world. In his quest to deliver his promises, he makes a drastic decision that causes him to lose it all.The ten Christmases he spent in prison couldn't compare or prepare him for what was to come in this concrete jungle. When Shawn loses it all, he almost loses his mind. Fortunately, he has a down ass wife. DJ vowed to ride for her husband, and that's exactly what she's going to do, especially knowing that her children's Christmas list is his motive. They embark on a journey like no other, becoming a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde. One lick is not enough. Two is too easy, but a third pushes them in the middle of a dangerous situation that can bring heartbreak instead of cheers for the holiday. Will Shawn and DJ make it home to play Mr. and Mrs. Claus, or will their story end in tragedy like Bonnie and Clyde?'Tis is the season for hittin' licks and for the couple that is so Brooklyn that means going hard or staying home.
