Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Two Poets and a Squirrel is a collection of poems that spans 15 years of playful and poignant exchanges between a grandfather and his granddaughter, and will delight readers of all ages!It began around the family dinner table, with grandparents, parents, and grandchildren, and a weekly poetry "contest" between Grandpa Morris and his seven-year-old granddaughter, Olivia. Over the years, there were lots of laughs and applause, as Grandma Ruth "judged" the contest and Olivia always won!Readers will enjoy verses ranging from the whimsically silly to the creatively profound, infused with humor, creativity, and wisdom. The magic of these poems allows a child to become part of the story! The poems share what it feels like to grow up - to try! To be brave! To be funny! See what happens when Olivia finds her father's credit card! Two Poets and a Squirrel shows us the power of poetry to connect, share, and bring joy. The authors provide space for the reader to create and illustrate poems of their own!Join this duo on their poetic journey with over 40 poems, and discover how you, too, can create a cherished collection of memories and shared experiences for the whole family. Perfect for fans of Shel Silverstein!
