Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Does the critic ever sleep? The answer lies within the pages of this debut poetry collection, as author Pear Urushima manages to escape her critic's watchful eye.The poems in When the Critic Sleeps explore the edges of Urushima's life-some scary, some peculiar, some humorous. With a plainspoken, heart-to-heart tone, she confronts both her saboteur and the paranoia brought on by her persistent nitpicker.Meant to be read in one sitting and revisited for inspiration, When the Critic Sleeps offers an invitation to those seeking a quiet diversion from their own relentless, niggling censors.About Slow Drum Press. This book humbly and proudly joins the category of poetry by Asian American authors.
