Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Rosie wants a pet more than anything in the world. When Mama finally says yes, it should be the most exciting news ever - so why does Rosie's tummy hurt? Why does she want to hide under her bed? From puppies to ponies, bunnies to sugar gliders, Rosie throws herself into finding the perfect pet. She makes lists, reads library books, and dreams about her options every night. But the more she researches, the harder the decision becomes. What if she chooses wrong? What if her new pet doesn't like her? What if she doesn't like it?As Rosie's worry grows, so does the rash on her wrist. When Mama finds Rosie on her bedroom floor late at night, surrounded by crumpled papers and an overwhelmed heart, she sits right down beside her. "These things take the right amount of time," Mama says gently. And when a trip to the pet store sends Rosie's senses into complete overdrive - tumbling puppies, squawking macaws, a caiman that Mama absolutely vetoes - Rosie begins to wonder if the perfect pet even exists.Rosie Can't Choose is a warm, funny, and deeply relatable story about the kind of worry that doesn't go away just because something is supposed to be fun. With gentle humor and an honest portrayal of childhood anxiety - including its physical symptoms - this story validates what so many children experience but struggle to name. Perfect for children ages 4-8, Rosie Can't Choose opens the door to important conversations about decision-making, anxiety, and the reassuring truth that some things simply take the right amount of time. Because the perfect choice isn't always the fastest one.
