Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

A funny children's picture book about a little monkey who skips the umbrella and learns the hard way why that was a bad idea. For ages 2-6. Mikey the Purple Monkey can't wait to play basketball outside. The sky looks gray. The clouds look puffy. But maybe it won't rain. And umbrellas? They're annoying. They're boring. He definitely won't need one. So Mikey leaves it behind. Bounce! Swoosh! He's having the best time ever -- until a tiny raindrop lands on his head. Then another. Then a million-billion-gazillion more. Now Mikey is soaked, scrambling, and wishing he had made a wiser choice. With silly sound effects, playful repetition, and laugh-out-loud moments, this interactive picture book teaches young readers a timeless lesson about cause and effect it's better to have something and not need it than to need it and not have it. This book helps children: - Understand cause and effect- Practice early decision-making skills- Learn responsibility and preparedness- Enjoy interactive, giggle-filled read-alouds Perfect for rainy day read-alouds, classroom discussions about making good choices, and any child who has ever been absolutely sure they wouldn't need a jacket.
