Attend the hearings. Move on.She didn't.Kelly stayed through birthdays, courtrooms, adolescence, and the long work of learning to trust. Within a few years, she became his legal guardian. For the next two decades, she was the one person who kept choosing him. Then she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Her Name Was Kelly is a true story about the difference one person can make in a life the system wasn't equipped to save, and the unbearable cost of finally finding home only to face losing it.
