In this first edition of the Nick Virgilio Writers House Youth Anthology, we collect the winners, and for the first time, the finalists of the Nick Virgilio Memorial Student Haiku and Senryu Competition from the years 2022-2026. The Nick Virgilio Haiku Competition for Grades 7-12 was founded in 1990 by Sacred Heart Church in Camden, N.J. It's sponsored and administered by NVHA in memory of Nick Virgilio, a charter member of the Haiku Society of America, who died in 1989.
